Consultations are by appointment, but we do offer walk-in appointments if you have an urgency or emergency. Urgent medical problems will be dealt with promptly.

If you or your family have an infectious illness, or you think you may have, please advise the medical receptionist when you book your appointment. We may need to take some extra precautions for you.

Childhood Vaccinations and all child Health checks are bulkbilled. When you make your appointment, please tell us you are booking for these. We are also a registered Yellow Fever vaccination provider.

We are fully equipped to provide medicals for Pre-Employment, Mining, Qld Rail Travel and Department of Transport, as well as Injury and rehabilitation management.

Our female doctors can offer a wide range of services for our female patients, such as family planning, IUD insertions, Implanon insertions, sexual health, antenatal and postnatal, Womens Health Check and pap smears.

RESULTS

It is your responsibility to call to find out results regarding any tests you may have had.

However for any significant or concerning results the doctor or a nurse will endeavor to contact you.

Results will only be given over the phone if this has been authorized by the doctor and only to the patient or parent of a child under 16 years

CAN I SPEAK WITH A DOCTOR OVER THE TELEPHONE

We do not like to interrupt consultations and many phone enquiries can be dealt with by our excellent nursing staff. It is there for our standard practice to have all requests to speak to a doctor, referred first to the nurse on duty.

This practice offers "recalls" & "reminders" for patients to promote continuity of care and to ensure best possible health outcomes.

 North Queensland X Ray Services & QML Pathology are conveniently located on site and operational hours are in conjunction with The Hyde Park Medical Centre. Radiology and Pathology services are bulkbilled for Medicare card holders.

We are a mixed billing Medical Centre with Doctors billing at their own discretion.

Please be aware that MEDICARE HAVE STOPPED REFUNDS VIA CHEQUE.

To receive your Medicare rebate, your bank details have to be recorded with Medicare.

You can either call them on 132 011; go online in your MyGov Account or ask Reception for a Form to fill in and post off to Medicare.

 

Level A – small consult – $35 (medicare rebates $17.20)
Level B – standard consult – $70 (medicare rebates $37.60)

Level B - standard consult (SAT FEE) - $75

(medicare rebates $37.60)

Level C – long consult – $110 (medicare rebates $72.80

Level D – extra long consult – $150 (medicare rebates $107.15)

Cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card (excluding AMEX).

Payment of fees is required at the time of consultation.
